Lena Maria Thyssen

My name is Lena Maria Thyssen. I am from Germany and 33 years old.

I am a nurse by training. After finishing my studies in Germany, I worked for several years in the intensive care unit. Emergency medicine fascinates me, and thus my experience in the hospital inspired me to impart basic but important knowledge in first aid courses.

I started studying acupuncture in 2006, when my curiosity and passion for this ancient and effective method began. I continued studying in the following years through various courses in Germany.  From 2011 to 2013, I successfully completed  my acupuncture degree in Spain. At the moment, I have been practicing for more than 10 years, treating every single patient with the same passion and dedication from when I first started.

Since 2009, I have been living in Tarifa, the southernmost point of Europe and the place where Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet. You can see Morocco from the shores as it is only 14 km from the wide beaches of Tarifa. This place has a special energy, thanks to its multicultural ambiance and the beautiful natural landscape surrounding it. There are loads of things to do like kitesurfing, windsurfing, diving, mountain biking or climbing. You can even see up to 7 different species of whales and dolphins from the whale watching boats in the Strait of Gibraltar.
